Michigan Grandfather Clock Repair is Alive and Well

Michigan Grandfather Clock Repair is Alive and Well

Gentle Care and Old-Fashion Service is Rare with Pick-Up and Delivery

Mr. Fred Bartholomew has free pick-up and delivery in the Detroit Metro area for his customers. Fred has been serving the Birmingham, Auburns Hills, and Ann Arbor market for over 15 years. Fred has been in the business for over 40 years. When asked why he was willing to do free pick-up and delivery, Fred replied “in many cases, it is critical to have the clocks properly set-up. Which is often inconvenient for the clock owner and in some difficult to do.”

Fred also explained the importance of having an expert handle the family treasures, rather than an amateur repairman. Many times amateurs or hobbyists can cause damage. Also, he remarked “it is important to have Grandfather clocks oiled at least ever two years.”

Mark Maupin one of Mr. Barthomew Customers said “Fred is one few people who takes to heart the term service and satisfaction. Fred spent time with me to explain what he did how should maintain my clock for maximum life. Fred is always working grandfather clocks and talks about like were his kids.”

Mr. Bartholomew works on Grandfather, Mantle, Wall, 400 – Day, Atmos, Cuckoo, Battery, Shipsbell, Antique, Modern, and all other clocks.

  2. I didn't realize that Grandfather clocks had to be oiled every two years. I've just inherited my father's Grandfather clock. It's been in our family for generations. I don't really know how to take care of it, so it's nice to know that there are experts who know how to repair antique clocks.
